Moonlight through the trees…

I really needed to use a tripod for this image, but I still like how it turned out.

Today the cute little kitty opened her eyes. How sweet!
Jan and I have enjoyed babysitting her for the last 2 days, but our job is now over.

Itsy Bitsy Baby…

We are babysitting this cute little kitty for our friend Katie. She was rescued from under a house after it’s momma abandoned her. She can’t be to old, she hasn’t even opened her eyes yet.

Green Green Grass of Home!

It feels good having grass in the front yard!

I love spring for all the pretty flowers, life sprouting everywhere around and the warmth you feel in your bones… but this is what we woke up to this morning…

Pollen settled on the lake. It’s no wonder we can’t breathe!

On May 17, 2010 (Twenty-three years to the day since graduating high school) I will start my first college course. I thought I would take it slow during this first semester so I’m only taking two classes; Algebra 101 and Intro to Computers. I’m excited about this adventure, but also scared to death. Twenty-three years is a long time to be away from the classroom. But I figure this time around, I actually want to be there!

Good timing…

Last fall we planted some tulip bulbs, so this is the first spring we were gonna have tulips and I was pretty excited to watch the process. While Jan and I were getting ready to leave on our trip about 3 weeks ago, the tulips were just starting to sprout and I was afraid they would bloom while we were gone. But when we pulled into the driveway, we were both happy & surprised to see the beautiful blooms!

Something in the air….

04062010 010As we got closer and closer to home you could see the air thicken… at first I thought it was smog, but after we looked a little closer we realized it was the pollen in the air. And now that we are home, we have learned that our local pollen count is over 6000. No wonder my eyes are itching out of my head and my throat is so scratchy!
