On May 17, 2010 (Twenty-three years to the day since graduating high school) I will start my first college course. I thought I would take it slow during this first semester so I’m only taking two classes; Algebra 101 and Intro to Computers. I’m excited about this adventure, but also scared to death. Twenty-three years is a long time to be away from the classroom. But I figure this time around, I actually want to be there!

  • You will do great you have the desire to learn now which often is missing when entering college right out of high school. Love yas and I’m proud of you.

  • Congratulations, Lori! It’s wonderful you’re tackling a college education. Lots of hard work, sometimes you’re going to wonder, “Why am I doing this?” and “They’re not telling me anything new!”
Steve asked me what you emphasis will be. Graphic arts? Computer science (programming)? Definitely not journalism (LOL) Always get an education that will potentially pay you well and will bring you lots of enjoyment; something you can see in your retirement age.
You’ll probably be a straight A student. But if you have math problems, may I suggest Antonio Ramirez (a math major) who is also on Facebook. Senor Antonio teaches math to us lowlife who still don’t understand adding and subtracting! Who me? Never.

    Talk to you soon,
