Pearson's Falls...

Todays destination was Pearson’s Falls Glen, located near Tryon, NC, on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Pearson's Falls... The Glen Trail leading to the falls is a botanical preserve owned and maintained by the Tryon Garden Club since 1931. On the grounds you can find 200 species of native plants- I only photographed three of them: (left): Foamflower (top right); White Violet (bottom right): Toad Trilliam Pearson's Falls...

Pearson's Falls...
The hike to the falls is a moderate 1/4 mile hike and the trail is neatly maintained.

Pearson's Falls... Pearson’s Falls is a 90 ft fall. We were actually pretty impressed with the falls even though they were fairly small compared to many others we have seen. The water flow was quite heavy and the surrounding area was gorgeous. It was well worth the hike to see such beauty.
