A Wasted Day? Not Hardly….

I had a few options of how to spend my day today:

1. Go for a ride with Jan- No matter which direction we head, it’s sure to be a gorgeous ride.
2. Walk down to the lake and go fishing- It’s always a quiet and relaxing way to spend the day.
3. Cuddle up on the couch, ignore the beautiful temperatures outside, pick up a book, and read.

I chose option 3!

daily coyoteNormally on a day like today- around 70 degrees, I would have wanted to be outside in one fashion or another, but the other day I picked up a book at the library that I couldn’t wait to read. I’m sure you have seen the link to “The Daily Coyote” (by writer/photographer Shreve Stockton) on my “Blogs I Follow” widget. I’ve been following her Blog for over a year now. And if you haven’t seen it, you ought to take a look. In her photo blog, she chronicles the first year with Charlie, a coyote that she has raised since he was a little pup that was orphaned in Wyoming. Anyway, back to the book- I read a few pages last night before I went to bed, and then this morning when I picked it up again, I couldn’t put it down. I sat here this afternoon completely engrossed in Shreve’s tale of raising this rambunctious little guy. I’m not one to sit here and write a “review” on a book (or anything else for that matter) but, I have to say this is one of the best non-fiction books I have read in a long time.
