I’ve been playing around with long exposures on my camera lately, and I figured a perfect place to get a nice shot would be at Wildcat Branch Falls. I’ve taken photos there before, but these from today are my favorites.

Fewer H2O Woes…

04182009 016 We took a little ride over to Georgia today. It was quite warm, and to be perfectly honest- Wonderful! The one thing that was quite evident by the ride, was the increased water levels of the area lakes. (Right) Lake Keowee, which for the last few years was showing very significant signs of drought, was looking more like normal today.

Wildcat Branch Falls (which is just down the road from us) was flowing quite well. Usually when we pass by, it’s more of a trickle than actual falls. Just a month ago, we were in an “Extreme” drought, we are now listed as “Moderate” after having received around 10 inches of rain in recent weeks…
